AUSTIN, Texas – No. 13 Texas Baseball's Eric Kennedy earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors, while Longhorn right-hander Bryce Elder was named the league's Pitcher of the Week.
This is the second weekly honor this season for both players. Elder was named the pitcher of the week following his opening day start and Kennedy claimed newcomer of the week following the sweep of No. 2 LSU.
Kennedy batted .474/.583/.579 in five games against No. 11 Arkansas and No. 22 TCU last week. The outfielder registered a pair of four-hit games, including a 4-for-5 evening with a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored against TCU on Saturday.
