No. 11/9 Softball’s pitching staff shuts out Sam Houston

HUNTSVILLE, TX – No matter if it was beside or behind home plate, Reese Atwood had her fingerprints all over Texas' 4-0 victory at Sam Houston Tuesday night.

While standing at the plate with a bat, Atwood turned in her second career three-hit game. She got Texas into the hit column in the top of the second inning when she singled back to the left-centerfield gap. After advancing to second on a Baylea Brandon, Atwood scored the first run of the game when she touched home plate with her cleats following a two-out single off the bat of Ashton Maloney.
