COLLEGE STATION, Texas – No. 11 Texas women's track and field finished the last day of the NCAA West First Round and advanced six events to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
The women's 4x100-meter relay showed off a new lineup with Carleta Bernard, Holly Okuku, Kenondra Davis and Ramiah Elliott and recorded a season-best time of 42.85 to advance to Eugene.
Sophomore Akala Garrett advanced in both hurdle events for the first time in her career after recording a personal best non-winded time of 12.98 in the 100-meter hurdles.
