AUSTIN, Texas – Less than a week after Teagan Kavan and Kayden Henry were recognized among the nation's top freshmen by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), Reese Atwood was selected to USA Softball's Collegiate Player of the Year Top 25 finalist list.
Atwood, who is a two-time Big 12 Conference and Louisville Slugger/NFCA D1 Player of the Week this season, enters the Longhorns' final regular season series batting .415 with a .465 on-base percentage and a .850 slugging percentage for a 1.315 on-base plus slugging percentage in 147 official plate appearances.
