AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 1 University of Texas Women's Tennis team swept SMU, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Texas Tennis Center in the regional championship match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend. With the victory, the Longhorns (3-0) advance to the ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championships on Feb. 11-14 in Madison, Wis.
Texas grabbed a 1-0 advantage after taking the doubles point against the Mustangs (3-1). The tandem of freshman Sabina Zeynalova and sophomore Kylie Collins raced out to a 5-1 lead and earned a 6-3 victory on court 1 against Claudia Bartolome and Jackie Nylander.
