LONG BEACH, Calif. – No. 1 Texas Volleyball dropped the season opener to Long Beach State, 3-1, on Friday at Walter Pyramid.
The Longhorns (0-1) will have a quick turnaround and face Loyola Marymount on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT.
Madisen Skinner led the Longhorns with 16 kills, while Jenna Wenaas had 11 kills in her first match for Texas. Bella Bergmark added five kills and five total blocks.
Keonilei Akana had a team high 11 digs and Emma Halter finished with 10 digs.
