AUSTIN, Texas – No. 1 Rowing redshirt senior Alexandra Watson has been named the Big 12 Rower of the Year, while freshman Anna Jensen has been selected the Newcomer of the Year the league announced on Wednesday. The honors were selected by the league's head coaches, who are not permitted to vote for their own institution.
Texas head coach Dave O'Neill was named as the Big 12 Coach of the Year, as the Longhorns swept the Big 12 awards for the second time in program history. The Longhorns previously swept the awards following O'Neill's first season in 2015.
