CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – No. 1 Texas Baseball completed the sweep of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a 5-4 win on Wednesday at Whataburger Field. For the series, Longhorns pitching held the Islanders to just four total hits and no earned runs.
The Longhorns improved to 5-0 on the season and will host Alabama, who also sits at 5-0.
Lucas Gordon pitched five innings and was the recipient of some tough luck, giving up four unearned runs on just one hit. The first three baserunners that reached against Gordon were all on errors before he gave up his first hit with two outs in the fifth.
