Coming out of the NBA Combine, Jarrett Allen was a borderline NBA Draft Lottery pick. Some mock drafts even had Allen in the Top 10.
Now, Allen is hovering in the 17-25 range one week before the draft. So, what happened?
Simply put, Allen is being overlooked by NBA teams. Other players like Gonzaga big man Zach Collins or Arizona power forward Lauri Markkanen are getting more attention at his position.
Meanwhile, Allen’s association with a bad Texas Basketball team last season seems to be overriding his individual skills.
NBA teams are also concerned about whether Allen can handle the physicality of the NBA.
