Men's Track/Cross Country Team Named Program of the Year

AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas men's track and field/cross country team was named the John McDonnell Men's Program of the Year on Tuesday morning.

Head Coach Edrick Floreal's program was tabbed with the prestigious award after a 14th-place finish during the cross country season, winning its first ever men's track and field championship during the indoor season and a runner-up finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The historic season is now capped off with the John McDonnell award, its first time in program history to ever earn the title. Texas finished third for this award at the end of the 2012 and 2015 season .
