Men’s Golf’s Ghim advances as The Masters Low Amateur

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Texas Men's Golf senior Doug Ghim followed a first-round 72 with a second-round 76 to advance to the weekend at the 2018 Masters Tournament at Augusta National on Friday.

Ghim is the only amateur to advance after the first two rounds, earning the Masters Low Amateur honor. He joins Ben Crenshaw (1972, 1973) and David Gossett (2000) in Texas Men's Golf history.

He is the second Longhorn to finish as the low amateur in a major tournament in the last year, as senior teammate Scottie Scheffler finished as the low amateur in the 2017 U.
