KANSAS CITY, Mo. — University of Texas senior guard Marcus Carr is one of 20 preseason watch list candidates for the 2022 NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Division I Player of the Year Award, the organization announced Thursday. The 2022 NABC Division I Player of the Year will be announced during the week of the 2022 Final Four in New Orleans.
Carr was previously tabbed the Big 12 Preseason Newcomer of the Year and named to the six-person Preseason All-Big 12 Team. In addition, he was one of 20 players selected to the watch list for the 2022 Bob Cousy Award, honoring the nation's top point guard.
