FORT WORTH, Texas — Graduate guard Max Abmas posted 13 of his game-high 21 points in the final 3:27 to lift Texas (15-7, 4-5 Big 12) to a 77-66 victory at No. 25/25 TCU on Saturday afternoon at Schollmaier Arena. Texas coach Rodney Terry recorded his 200th career victory as a collegiate head coach with the win.
Abmas converted 3-of-3 field goals, including 2-of-2 from three-point range, and 5-of-5 free throws over the late stretch to help the Longhorns close out the game on a 13-2 run. On the afternoon, he hit 6-of-14 field goals, including 2-of-5 threes, and 7-of-7 free throws in 32 minutes.
