IRVING, Texas — The University of Texas men's basketball team is picked to finish in third place in the Big 12 Conference in a preseason vote of the league coaches, the conference office announced Friday. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.
Kansas claimed the top spot in the poll, receiving 12 first-place votes and 168 points in polling for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Houston tallied the remaining two first-place votes and 153 points, while Texas received 143 points.
