LUBBOCK, Texas — Redshirt sophomore guard Andrew Jones tied his career high with 22 points to pace The University of Texas Men's Basketball team (18-11, 8-8 Big 12) to a 68-58 win at No. 22/21 Texas Tech (18-11, 9-7 Big 12) on Saturday afternoon at United Supermarkets Arena. The Longhorns, who earned their fourth-consecutive Big 12 Conference victory, have won back-to-back contests against AP Top 25 opponents for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
Jones, who had 14 of his 22 points in the opening half, converted 8-of-14 field goals, including 3-of-8 from three-point range while tying his career high in minutes (39).
