Texas' 2015 season was up-and-down, but the freshmen players were consistent throughout the year. Some of the Longhorns' freshman had breakout seasons.
Here are five key contributors from Texas' 2015 recruiting class:
LB Malik Jefferson (Mesquite Poteet)
The consensus five-star linebacker made an immediate impact as an early enrollee. Jefferson was a starter in Texas' opener against Notre Dame and made major contributions throughout his freshman campaign. He showed a knack for making plays and was an important part of Texas' win over Oklahoma. His performance against the Sooners earned him national player of the week honors.
