Longhorns in the NFL: Championship Round Preview

The journey to Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis continues on Sunday afternoon as the Conference Championships of the NFL playoffs take place. Five Longhorns remain in the hunt with players on three of the four remaining teams.

A Longhorn has appeared in the last 12 Super Bowls (2006-17), the longest stretch in UT history. In total, 54 former Longhorns have been members of 45 different Super Bowl squads. Twenty-four of those players have claimed Super Bowl Champion rings, with Casey Hampton, Dan Neil, Terry Orr and Aaron Ross winning a pair of titles. Malcom Brown of the New England Patriots will look for his second title after winning Super Bowl LI in dramatic fashion last season at NRG Stadium in Houston.
