The first thing I wondered about when I read the details of the FBI's college basketball probe -- one that names Texas alongside basketball powerhouses Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina as cheaters -- is whether new Texas AD Chris Del Conte issued this statement with a straight face.
A current Texas player, Eric Davis Jr., is reported to have received $1,500 in payments from the agency that is at the heart of the investigation. A former player, Prince Ibeh, is listed as having ties to the agency.
