Hannah Wells, a graduate of Coahoma High School and an incoming true freshman pitcher and hitter for the championship-winning Texas Longhorns softball program, was named Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year this week.
“This is a dream I’ve had since I started my high school career,” Wells said, according to 247Sports. “So, seeing that trophy with my name on it is just a really cool thing that I will always have in my heart, for sure.”
