Junior tight end Blake Whiteley announced on Twitter Tuesday he will transfer from Texas after graduating from the University in May.
"I've loved my team here and I will always be a proud Longhorn," Whiteley said on Twitter. "After thinking things over with my family, I have decided to continue playing football and pursuing a masters degree, at a new university next season as a graduate transfer."
Whiteley stumbled down the depth chart over the past two seasons after suffering an ACL injury before the 2015 season. Senior Caleb Bluiett and junior Andrew Beck played the majority of the tight end snaps this past year.
