The 16th Women’s Hall of Honor class will be inducted in a Sept. 25 ceremony at the Frank Erwin Center.
Destinee Hooker was a sophomore in 2007, as Texas Volleyball was inching its way into national prominence, that year with a finish among the "elite eight" in the NCAA Regional Finals, and Hooker and her teammates coined a phrase. It was equal parts a goal and a motivator.
"Leave a legacy," the Longhorns would say each other.
"And we've done that," Hooker said as she visited Gregory Gym Wednesday night for just the second time since her competition days.
