The planned visit of former Kansas Jayhawks head coach David Beaty to Austin to help the Texas Longhorns prepare for a rematch with the Oklahoma Sooners in the Big 12 Championship Game on Saturday hasn’t even come to fruition — Texas head coach Tom Herman said that Beaty is stuck in Kansas City due to a blizzard.
But that didn’t stop Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley from expressing his dislike for such consulting work.
“Coach Beaty can do what he wants to do,” Riley said, according to ESPN’s Jake Trotter.
