Kieschnick to be inducted into Southwest Conference Hall of Fame

WACO, Texas—The Texas Sports Hall of Fame (TSHOF) has announced the induction of nine new members into its 2018 Southwest Conference Hall of Fame class which includes Texas Baseball great and Longhorns Legend Brooks Kieschnick.

Kieschnick, a Corpus Christi native, led Texas to two SWC titles (1991, 1992) and two College World Series appearances (1992, 1993) over the course of his three-year career on the Forty Acres. The right-handed pitcher/designated hitter, whose No. 23 was retired in 2009, was twice awarded the Dick Howser Trophy, given to the top player in college baseball, and was the AP/SWC Player of the Year in each of his three seasons.
