JUCO OT Willie Tyler set to officially visit Texas

In the coming days, a small army of prospects representing the 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 classes will flock to the Forty Acres for the Texas Longhorns’ Junior Day, and among that bunch is a lone official visitor — JUCO offensive tackle Willie Tyler.

An unranked prospect out of Iowa Western C.C., Tyler will be among three immediately-eligible offensive linemen visiting the Longhorns this weekend, along with a Georgia Tech graduate transfer offensive guard Parker Braun and Virginia graduate transfer R.J. Procter.

A 6’7, 330-pound talent, Tyler will have four years to play three, and should the Longhorns put an offer on the table in the coming days, it’s quite possible, if not likely that Texas emerges as the team to beat based upon his recent comments to 247Sports’ Mike Roach.
