Monday’s visit from Texas Longhorns co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Herb Hand to El Cajon helped locked in a trip from Grossmont College offensive tackle Jay Williams to Austin:
The former San Diego State defensive end doesn’t yet hold an offer from the Longhorns, but that seems like a formality at this point, as the staff wouldn’t be interested in expending the energy to host Williams if an offer was seriously in doubt.
The 6’6, 290-pounder plans to sign this month so he can enroll early at the school of his choice and currently holds 16 offers, with Florida State, Indiana, and Louisville ranking as his top schools.
