TYLER, Texas - Texas wide receiver Collin Johnson was named Player of the Week by The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award on Tuesday morning. The junior caught seven passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Longhorns' 31-16 victory over No. 17 TCU last Saturday. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger earned honorable mention this week, as well.
A native of San Jose, Calif., Johnson matched his career high with seven catches in the ballgame against the Horned Frogs. It was his third career 100-yard performance. His 31-yard touchdown catch came as he fully extended, laying out for the score.
