FRISCO -- A decade ago, the question would have been easy one to answer -- if it was asked at all.
On Tuesday, a softball became a stumper for Texas coach Tom Herman at Big 12 media days. Just how many difference-makers and championship-level players do the Longhorns have?
A vaguely uncomfortable pause followed, as if Herman were mentally searching his two-deep chart.
"Some," Herman said, before expanding a bit.
"I mean, I don't know. You kind of put me on the spot there, I haven't tallied up difference makers and championship-level guys, and I don't know that it's fair for me to give an assessment with the limited time that you have to think about that question.
