Hernandez finishes sixth on 3-meter at World Cup Super Final

BERLIN – Texas diver Hailey Hernandez placed sixth on 3-meter springboard at the World Aquatics Diving World Cup Super Final on Sunday at the SSE Swimming & Diving Hall. She also helped the United States place fourth in the mixed team event.

Hernandez scored 291.60 points to earn the sixth-place result on the 3m springboard, finishing 52.55 points behind champion Chen Yiwen (344.15) of China. Japan's Sayaka Mikami won silver with 342.60 points and Chang Yani, diving for China, placed third with 318.50 points. Hernandez's round was highlighted by her fifth and final dive, scoring 60 points on a forward 2 ½ somersault with one twist.
