ATLANTA – Texas Football head coach Tom Herman has been named the Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week, the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl announced Monday.
Herman led the Longhorns to a 41-34 overtime victory at No. 6/6 Oklahoma State this past Saturday, Texas' first road win over a top-10 opponent since 2010. His team trailed by as many as 11 points in the game, but rallied to record the program's sixth double-digit comeback since 2017 – Herman's first at the helm in Austin.
Saturday's win pushed Herman's record to 9-9 against top-25 foes during his time at Texas, which includes an 8-5 mark since the start of the 2018 season.
