Heartbreaking loss to Georgia shakes up Texas football’s latest bowl projections

The No.17 Texas Longhorns unfortunately fell to the No.4 Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 35 to 10 on Saturday night, and it drastically affected their postseason outlook according to ESPN.

Sadly, for this year's team, the loss to UGA most likely means that the College Football Playoffs are no longer an option for Arch Manning and Co. in 2025. There's always the slight chance that the Selection Committee would consider Texas if they manage to pull off a huge upset against Texas A&M on November 28th, but that's a longshot.

Following week 12's results, ESPN bowl game experts Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach have updated their postseason projections for the entire league.
