AUSTIN, Texas – Texas men's golf rising sophomore Cole Hammer was named one of three players to the U.S. Walker Cup team on Thursday morning by the USGA's International Team Selection (ITS) committee.
Hammer took over the top spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in June and earned automatic selections to the 10-player squad. Hammer has had a summer filled with competition, and will look to defend his Western Amateur title next week.
