BOLZANO, Italy – University of Texas junior Alison Gibson grabbed a first-place finish in the three-meter mixed synchro final on the final day of the Bolzano FINA Grand Prix. Gibson also took sixth on the three-meter springboard.
Gibson paired with Greg Duncan to score a 279.27 as they beat out the pairings from Italy and Sweden in their first time competing as a duo. "This is their first time competing together and they are world class already," Texas head diving coach Matt Scoggin said. "And for Alison to bounce back and win gold after her 3m final, shows her resilience and mental toughness!
