Yesterday was one for the history books when it came to Steve Sarkisian's recruiting success. Not only did the Texas head coach land five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson out of the state of Georgia, but he also flipped five-star defensive lineman JJ Johnson, who had initially committed to the Bulldogs.
To put it simply, Sark and the Longhorns walked into Georgia and stole all of its goodies. Now, UGA Bulldog fans are looking for any and every explanation as to how their head coach, Kirby Smart, missed out on these top recruits.
Many Georgia fans even fell for a fake "ESPN report" which claimed that Atkinson only committed to Texas because he believed he wouldn't get enough playing time with the Bulldogs.
