The season-opening matchup between the Texas Longhorns and Colorado State Rams at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium will kick off at 2:30 p.m. Central on ESPN on August 31, the school announced on Tuesday.
As the Longhorns face off against former assistant Jay Norvell, who took over in Fort Collins in 2022, it will be the second game between Texas and Colorado State. In the previous meeting, Texas won 46-0 in Austin in 1975 behind 320 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns, including a 100-yard performance by Earl Campbell, who scored a touchdown on the ground.
