Former Texas S DeShon Elliott fractures forearm, could miss entire rookie season

Former Longhorn and current Baltimore Ravens safety DeShon Elliott's rookie season in the NFL could be over before it even begins.

The Ravens' sixth-round pick fractured his forearm in the second half of Saturday night's preseason game against the Miami Dolphins, a 27-10 win for Baltimore. The injury happened while Elliott was covering a kickoff.

"DeShon Elliott looks like he had a fractured forearm," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said after the game. "I don't know what that's going to mean as far as whether it's the whole season or part of the season. We'll have to find out and we'll have to make a decision on that.
