It was just announced that Texas RB C.J. Baxter is officially planning on entering the transfer portal when it opens, per Pete Thamel.
Though it's a pretty big bummer to lose a tailback as talented as Baxter, the Longhorns are absolutely chock full of blue-chip players at the running back position. This is probably one of the biggest factors in his decision to leave as well.
C.J. Baxter's career with the Longhorns has been incredibly inconsistent to say the least, with his 2024 ACL injury playing a huge role in his downfall with the Longhorns.
