AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football legends Casey Hampton (DL, 1996, 1998-2000), Priest Holmes (RB, 1992-94, 1996) and Eric Metcalf (RB, 1985-88) were included on the Pro Football Hall of Fame's list of modern-era nominees for the Class of 2021 on Wednesday.
Hampton, a Galveston, Texas native, was a two-time first-team All-American and the 2000 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year while at UT. He was also a three-time All-Big 12 performer (1998-2000) who became the first defensive lineman in school history to lead the team in tackles in back-to-back seasons, posting 101 as a junior and 78 as a senior.
