AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football received All-Bowl team recognition from a number of major media outlets after the Longhorn's 38-10 win over No. 11 Utah in the Valero Alamo Bowl. Sophomore LB Joseph Ossai was recognized by the Associated Press, ESPN and Sports Illustrated, while sophomore OL Samuel Cosmi garnered praise from the AP and ESPN, and the entire Texas offensive line was honored by Sports Illustrated.
Ossai, a native of Conroe, Texas, racked up nine tackles, a career-high six tackles for loss and a career-high three sacks against Utah. He is the only FBS player over the last 20 seasons to register at least six tackles for loss in a bowl game.
