Flashback: D'Onta Foreman reveals he lost his infant son in the midst of his junior season at Texas

D'Onta Foreman played with a heavy heart during the 2016 season season.

The junior from Texas City revealed on an NFL Network special Monday that he lost his infant son in the middle of the season. D'Onta Foreman Jr. was born prematurely on Sept. 16 and spent 50 days in intensive care. He passed away in November — the weekend of the team's 45-37 win over Texas Tech — after developing an intestinal infection.

"I was like numb," Foreman told NFL Network. "I was driving and then I was crying while I was driving. I was crushed and I was so hurt.
