Longhorn Network will partner with espnW on June 23 to air 24 hours of women's sports programming in commemoration of the 48th anniversary of Title IX. Highlighting this programming is LHN's first re-airing of the 1986 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.
The Texas women's basketball program, which has been a trendsetter from the very start, captured the 1986 NCAA Championship. The Longhorns posted a 34-0 record and became the first team in NCAA Women's Basketball history to chart an undefeated season.
