In the 2025 Women’s College World Series rendition of the Red River Rivalry, the No. 6 Texas Longhorns held on against the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners, 4-2, in the winner’s bracket of the double-elimination tournament, securing their first win in seven tries against the powerhouse Sooners in the WCWS and head coach Mike White’s fourth win in 23 games facing off against legendary head coach Patty Gasso.
