DKR south end zone expansion pending final approval from Board of Regents

For months on end there has been talk of renovating and expanding the south end zone at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Now, that talk is being fully put into action.

A report from Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman said that UT president Gregory Fenves and athletic director Chris Del Conte are slated to meet with the UT System Board of Regents on Thursday to discuss the details of the proposed $175 million renovation to the south end zone.

The expansion will be funded entirely by monetary gifts and revenue financing system bond proceeds, which will be covered by ticket sales and donations, per a report on the project outlined in the UT System Board of Regents' agenda schedule for this week.
