The first matchup between the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies in Austin since 2010 will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Central on Friday, November 28, the schools announced on Thursday.
With last year’s version of the Lone Star Showdown held on a Saturday in College Station, the 2025 game between the longtime rivals is the first on the Friday after Thanksgiving since the 2007 contest at Kyle Field, the final season in an 11-year run of Friday games between the Longhorns and Aggies before playing on Thanksgiving from 2008 to 2011, when Texas A&M left for the SEC.
