Daniels, Crouser win national titles at Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa – Former Texas Track & Field standouts Teahna Daniels and Ryan Crouser both won national championships and secured their spots with Team USA for the IAAF World Championships on Friday at the 2019 Toyota United States Track & Field (USATF) Outdoor Championships. Daniels emerged from the pack to win the women's 100-meter dash, while Crouser out-threw a stacked field in the men's shot put.

It was Daniels' first national championship and she is the first Longhorn to win the women's 100-meter national title since Carlette Guidry in 1991. Friday's triumphant victory marked the latest in a series of impressive races for the Orlando, Fla.
