A Longhorn has been named a finalist on 11 previous occasions, but junior Kody Clemens is looking to become the first Texas player to win the Golden Spikes Award.
DURHAM, N.C.—Texas Baseball junior Kody Clemens has been named one of four 2018 Golden Spikes Award finalists, USA Baseball announced Wednesday. The Golden Spikes Award is presented in partnership with the Rod Dedeaux Foundation and will be announced on Thursday, June 28.
Clemens, the Longhorns second baseman, is just the ninth Longhorn to be selected as a finalist for the award given to the top college baseball player in the country.
