Entering Week 3 of the 2019 NFL regular season, a host of former Texas Longhorns football players could be shining brighter than ever in the spotlight. Two former Longhorns in particular will have an elevated role during the early part of their rookie season. Those two are the fifth round draft pick of the Houston Texans, defensive end Charles Omenihu, and the New Orleans Saints undrafted free agent wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey.
In the case of Omenihu, roster shuffling and losses along the defensive line got him to snag more early playing time.
