Bryan Carrington receives promotion from Texas

A week after a report emerged that Texas Longhorns Assistant Director of Player Personnel Bryan Carrington was being “actively pursued” by the LSU Tigers, Carrington tweeted that he’s staying in Austin:

Carrington’s new title is Director of Recruiting, according to his Twitter bio, a promotion that likely includes a pay raise from the $36,000 he made last season. The promotion was well earned by Carrington, who came to Texas with head coach Tom Herman after serving in a similar support capacity at Houston — Carrington played a critical role in recruiting in the 2018 class.
