AUSTIN, Texas – No. 2 Texas Swimming earned a pair of Big 12 Conference weekly awards, the league office announced on Wednesday. Sophomore Olivia Bray was voted the Swimmer of the Week and freshman Olivia McMurray was tabbed Newcomer of the Week following standout performances against Rice in the Sterkel Classic.
Bray collected Big 12 Swimmer of the Week honors for the first time this season and third time in her career. The Daleville, Va. native won the 200 fly with a season-best 1:52.14 in the Longhorns' 156-103 victory over Rice. Her mark is the number three time in the NCAA this season.
