Just as the Baylor women's basketball program underwent a lot of change this offseason, so too did its leader of 19 years, Kim Mulkey.
Mulkey had spinal fusion surgery in mid-August to treat pain she was experiencing in her neck, shoulder and arm. And then just last week, she welcomed her first grandson.
Mulkey's daughter, Makenzie Fuller, a former basketball player at Baylor who has previously worked for her mother's staff, gave birth to a baby boy, Kannon Reid, Friday evening.
It was an especially emotional moment for Mulkey and her family, as Fuller and her husband, Clay, a former Baylor football player, lost their unborn daughter last November due to two life-threatening birth defects.
