AUSTIN, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced the 2021 league football schedule on Thursday. The announcement completes Texas' 2021 slate, with the three non-conference games having been previously announced.
Steve Sarkisian's first season as head coach at Texas begins on Sept. 4 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, as the Longhorns play host to Louisiana. UT will also host Rice on Sept. 18 in its non-conference finale. In between those games is a road trip to face Arkansas on Sept. 11. It will mark the 79th meeting between the schools, and the first matchup pitting the former Southwest Conference foes against each other in Fayetteville since 2004.
